Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) encompasses a range of holistic treatments developed over thousands of years. Key therapies include acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, massage (Tui Na), and exercises like Tai Chi and Qigong. These practices aim to restore balance and harmony within the body, addressing both physical and mental well-being.

Acupuncture

Involves stimulating specific points on the body, often with thin needles, to influence the flow of Qi (vital energy) and promote natural healing. Studies suggest acupuncture may help with pain management, particularly chronic pain like back pain and osteoarthritis

Herbal Medicine

TCM uses a vast array of medicinal plants and animal products to address various health issues. Herbal formulas are tailored to individual needs and can be administered in various forms like teas, powders, or pills. Ginger is a commonly used herb for treating indigestion, nausea, and other ailments

Dietary Therapy: TCM emphasizes the role of food in health and emphasizes eating according to individual needs and seasonal changes.

Cupping: Uses suction cups (glass or plastic) to create suction on the skin, which is believed to promote blood flow and relieve muscle tension.

Tai Chi and Qigong:

TCM uses the body’s microsystems to treat the whole person effectively, mirroring a holographic perspective of each part reflecting the whole.
